Laura Rigden
Lead for Suicide First Aid Training & Facilitator
Laura is an Australian-born Wellbeing Consultant with an academic background in Neuroscience, Anatomy & Human Biology, and Postgraduate Psychology.
She brings a blend of evidence-based science, international workplace experience, and lived insight to her facilitation — making conversations about mental health engaging, practical, and deeply human.
Laura has worked across a wide range of industries as a Psychological Case Manager and Senior Injury Management Specialist, supporting individuals and organisations navigating psychological injury, recovery, and return to work.
She later moved into learning and development and wellbeing consultancy, where she now works with organisations ranging from small start-ups to FTSE 100 companies.
Her work includes delivering Mental Health First Aid and Suicide First Aid training, as well as providing wellbeing workshops and consultancy focused on leadership development, positive organisational culture, and the creation of psychologically safe workplaces.
Alongside her professional experience, Laura brings both lived and shared experience of mental ill health. From a young age, she navigated her own mental health challenges while also supporting others around her, often before there was shared language or understanding for these experiences.
This has shaped her strong commitment to prevention, early support, and inclusive, psychologically safe environments.
Laura also delivers neurodiversity and inclusion in the workplace training, alongside strategic planning and consultancy to help organisations embed inclusive practices in a meaningful and sustainable way.
Her facilitation style balances warmth, honesty, and humour with clear, evidence-informed learning, and she is passionate about helping individuals and leaders build confidence in supporting mental health — both their own and others’.
