In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Week, which is a Mental Health Foundation initiative, we recently hosted a panel discussion involving some guest contributors. Our panellists were:
Maggi Rose, Head of Evolution at Mental Health at Work
Olivia Cayley, Head of Rail Programme at the Samaritans
Amy Walker, Inclusion & Diversity Manager at GroupM
Marwah El-Murad, Universal Programme Manager at Mental Health Foundation.
Several questions and issues around loneliness were discussed in the one hour long panel discussion, including:
Why did MHF choose the topic of loneliness as this year’s MHAW theme?
Why is loneliness a public health issue?
What impact has the pandemic had on loneliness?
Why is there stigma around loneliness?
How can the workplace can benefit from being aware of loneliness?
So how can we all be involved in the loneliness agenda?
